Dan Veen

Dan is co-founder and CEO of We4Sea. After studying Mechanical Engineering, Dan worked in several positions at Gastec, a gas research institute, on gaseous automotive fuels such as CNG and LPG.

In 2004, he joined Wärtsilä Netherlands where he was responsible for the Sales department of Wärtsilä Benelux Services Division. In 2010, he moved to Wärtsilä Services – North Europe and worked as business development manager on new technologies, such as emission abatement and use of LNG as marine fuel. Looking to broaden his horizon, he studied Business Administration at Erasmus University (Rotterdam).

In 2012, he switched to the Dutch organisation for Applied Scientific Research – TNO as senior business developer Maritime & Offshore. In March 2016, he co- founded the company We4Sea. Dan loves ships, especially when they are clean and efficient. The ambition of Dan and his team is clear: save 1 Million tons of CO2 from shipping.
